Basic Program
  Duration : Eight Weeks

The group therapy process offers the opportunity to explore problematic sexual behaviour, to confront the nature of sexual addictions and to manage and to support sobriety in your life.

This basic program is an introduction to group dynamics and a psycho-educational process. Participants learn how to assist one another in building a supportive and caring network.

Introducing the exercise of Self-Hope, Self-Confidence, Self-Awareness and Self-Esteem.

  • Individual private sessions
  • Group sessions
  • A three-day workshop at the conclusion of eight weeks
  • The 12-step program is complementary to our basic program.

The Task and Skills Group (T&S)

The goal of this group is to provide skills for early recovery and relapse prevention. The direction of this ongoing work and the group psychotherapy sessions are designed to assist the implementation of the first seven tasks of RECOVERY as outlined by Patrick Carnes.

Clients enter the T&S Group after they have completed the Basic Program or as a referral from a residential treatment centre. Participants can remain as long as they require to integrate the RECOVERY process.

A cooperative evaluation process between therapist and client takes place on a regular basis.

  • Individual private sessions
  • Group sessions
  • A five-day workshop at the beginning
  • A threeday workshop at the conclusion

The Advanced Group : A One-Year Program

The advanced group is for people who have accomplished the Basic program and the T&S Group and who are now involved in the 12-step program.

Participants must be ready to explore the trauma issues of their lives and their interpersonal relationships. Attention is placed on lifestyle changes, growth leading towards an improved quality of life, and a healthy sexuality in a committed relationship. Abstinence from addictive behavior for three months is necessary prior to entering this program. Participants are requested to commit to the group for one year.

Treatment is available and encouraged for those partners who wish to explore their sexual co-dependency / and for couples who are ready to address the impact of the addiction on their relationship.

  • Extended workshops throughout the program
  • Individual private sessions
  • Group sessions

Participants can stay longer in this group if they wish and need the support.
